Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about our services.

FAQ's

01
How do I book a call?

A: Click on the link in the top right-hand corner of our webpage, or just click here.

02
How do I become a client?

A: Firstly, you need to book a call with us, this will help us understand where you’re at in your business journey. After the call, we’ll send you a proposal with our recommendations and costs for you to accept and then we get working.

03
What cloud accounting systems do you use?

A: We partner with Xero to bring you the best cloud accounting system in our opinion. We have worked with Sage One, Quickbooks and in our experience, Xero is the most user friendly and provides integrations with many other applications that can simplify how you work.

04
Why do I need to sign up for a monthly package?

A: We believe in bringing you value for your money. We understand that small businesses don’t have a great deal of money and therefore we need to stretch each Rand to go as far as it can. To that end, we have packaged services together that we believe are critical to maintain healthy bookkeeping and priced it as a monthly package so that you are able to budget knowing exactly how much you’re going to be billed and also knowing that you’re getting value. If you were to add up the cost of all the individual services for a year, you would be paying much more than you would with a package.

05
What if I want to cancel after I sign up for the monthly package?

A: Honestly, it would be sad to see you go. We would want to find out why you want to cancel and give us a chance to rectify any issues if possible. However, if you strongly feel that what you signed up for is no longer serving you and your business, then you may cancel. When you sign up for the package, we cover the cloud application subscriptions in our package price. If you cancel, the subscription costs can either be transferred to you and you can carry on yourself, or we cancel the subscription, but you lose out on all the data that has already been captured on the systems.

06
What qualifications do you have?

A: That’s a great question! Check our about us page and professional partners as well. Esther has a professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the UK and a Bachelors Degree in Financial Management. Ayesha is a Chartered Accountant and has a Masters in Taxation. In addition, we are individually members of the South African Institute of Business Accountants and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. We are held to high standards of ethics and professionalism to ensure that you get the right advice.

07
How can I transition from in-house to outsourcing our bookkeeping and accounting?

A: We’re glad you’re asking. Book a call with us and let us get to know where you’re at right now, so that we can advise you specifically on how to make the transition.

08
What is the difference between accounting and bookkeeping?

A: If you need good record-keeping, then you need a bookkeeper, but if you need someone to take those records and turn them into information you can use to measure, maintain and grow your business, well then you need an accountant. We can provide you with both services in one package.

09
